As a Mobile Onboarding Engineer at Consensys, you will be instrumental in improving and scaling our mobile platforms, particularly focusing on MetaMask. Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking the lead on improving and maintaining our mobile onboarding architecture, ensuring it is reliable, secure, and easily extensible.
• Working on the integration of new onboarding experiences, such as MPC account setup and recovery, to make wallet creation safer and smoother for all users.
• Contributing directly to our React Native codebase, and occasionally diving into native iOS or Android code to integrate libraries or improve performance where needed.
• Actively participating in code reviews, guaranteeing high code quality, maintainability, and delivering exceptional work.
• Optimizing the app onboarding experience to minimize latency and significantly improve overall onboarding performance.
• Helping to shape technical discussions and sharing your valuable experience with the team through thoughtful reviews and comprehensive documentation.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled engineer with a strong commitment to web3 innovation. Ideal candidates will bring:

• Extensive experience with React Native and Expo to craft smooth, reliable onboarding experiences, particularly for MetaMask Mobile.
• The ability to occasionally leverage native iOS or Android skills for integrating libraries or fine-tuning performance.
• A track record of keeping applications fast and responsive by profiling, optimizing, and tuning performance across onboarding flows and SDK integrations.
• Strong contributions to discussions on architecture and design, with a focus on sharing ideas that enhance the product for both developers and users.
• Bonus: Prior experience with the Web3 stack.
• Bonus: Experience integrating Rust or native C++ libraries into mobile applications.
