As the Design Operations Lead, you will sit at the very heart of KAST’s product engine. This pivotal role blends design, systems architecture, and operations, owning the infrastructure that fuels our design output. Your responsibilities will include:

• Design Systems: Owning, scaling, and meticulously maintaining KAST’s comprehensive design system, including components, tokens, patterns, and guidelines.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Acting as the essential bridge across Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure clarity, consistency, and seamless delivery.
• Tools & Workflow Architecture: Managing and optimizing our entire design tooling stack, workflows, and handoff processes to achieve maximum velocity.
• Documentation & Governance: Creating and maintaining clear documentation, robust standards, and effective governance models to uphold high quality and team alignment.
• Delivery Acceleration: Proactively removing friction in the design-to-engineering pipeline, empowering teams to ship faster with confidence and consistency.
• Quality & Consistency: Implementing processes and review systems that consistently uphold design quality across all product surfaces and platforms.
• Component & Pattern Development: Collaborating closely with designers and engineers to define, standardize, and evolve reusable components and product patterns.
• Process Optimization: Continuously identifying operational bottlenecks, proposing strategic improvements, and rolling out scalable processes across all relevant teams.

We are looking for a highly pragmatic builder, a meticulous simplifier, and a natural dot-connector who thrives on high ownership and obsessive structure. To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience in Design Operations, Product Design, or a hybrid systems-focused design role.
• A proven background working within fintech or high-velocity product teams, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
• Deep and extensive experience in managing, scaling, and evolving complex design systems.
• Mastery of Figma, including advanced knowledge of libraries, design tokens, component architecture, auto-layout, and variants.
• Demonstrated ability to partner closely and effectively with engineers and product teams, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and a strong, inherent systems-thinking mindset.
• Clear, concise, and persuasive communication skills, enabling you to coordinate, influence, and lead without friction.
