As a Technical Project Manager at Tether, your primary goal will be to plan, coordinate, and oversee the successful delivery of projects from initiation to completion. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular, transparent updates on project status, risks, and changes to all stakeholders.
• Establish Project Scope: Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
• Mitigate Risks & Resolve Issues: Identify potential risks early, develop robust mitigation strategies, and efficiently resolve project blockers.
• Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Facilitate seamless collaboration among development, QA, product, and business teams to align on goals.
• People Management & Team Development: Conduct 1-1s, provide coaching, track performance, support career growth, and actively participate in recruitment.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Gather post-project feedback and implement lessons learned to refine future execution.
• Control Budgets & Costs: Track project expenditures and ensure adherence to budget (depending on project scope).

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: +5 years of proven experience managing software development projects and +5 years of recent hands-on software development experience.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C#).
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong experience with development tools (e.g., Git, Asana, Confluence, Slack).
  • Strong understanding of various testing approaches (unit, integration, end-to-end), test automation, performance, and security testing.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
• Project Management Skills:
  • Ability to deliver results in fast-paced, high-growth environments, managing evolving requirements and shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in setting performance expectations, monitoring progress, providing feedback, and evaluating team performance.
  • Strong proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple projects concurrently and experience leading distributed/global teams.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Language: Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or equivalent Agile Project Management certification.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, API design, and integration.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control/assurance processes.
  • Ability to contribute to system architecture discussions and participate in code reviews.
  • Experience in identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and understanding cybersecurity principles.
• Project Management Skills: Experience managing project budgets.
