As a Technical Lead, you will be pivotal in shaping the future of digital finance, guiding a team of experts to deliver secure and scalable crypto wallet solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Backend and Wallet developers, upholding the highest standards of coding and technical excellence.
• Design, architect, and implement robust, scalable, and secure crypto wallets and reusable wallet libraries.
• Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including product and design, to deliver comprehensive end-to-end technical solutions.
• Partner with project managers to define technical roadmaps, prioritize tasks, and execute sprint planning for timely project milestones.
• Proactively identify technical risks, develop effective mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement in system architecture.
• Provide hands-on leadership in developing sophisticated peer-to-peer (P2P) applications, focusing on efficient data synchronization, decentralized communication, and network resilience.
• Conduct regular code and architectural reviews, initiating optimization efforts for both performance and scalability.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in Web3, blockchain, and DeFi, integrating relevant innovations to keep Tether at the industry’s cutting edge.

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a passion for decentralization and a proven track record in crypto wallet development. Essential qualifications include:

• Minimum of 6+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2-3 years in a dedicated technical leadership role.
• Demonstrable expertise in building and deploying crypto wallets, DeFi protocols, and working extensively with Web3 tech stacks (e.g., EVM, Solidity, ethers.js/web3.js).
• Strong proficiency in NodeJS and React Native mobile development, with a history of launching and maintaining successful applications.
• Good C++ development experience coupled with a solid understanding of OS, Cryptography, and Networking primitives. Experience building Native addons in NodeJS is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in building peer-to-peer (P2P) applications, distributed systems, or decentralized communication models is a significant advantage.
• A solid grasp of software architecture principles, system design patterns, and complex API integrations.
• Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, vital for a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience thriving in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
