As the Head of Origination, you will be instrumental in driving Echo Base’s growth by identifying and securing groundbreaking investment opportunities. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Leading top-of-funnel deal sourcing for control acquisitions and advanced lending/structured credit strategies.
• Cultivating and managing a high-velocity pipeline of target companies across all verticals of the crypto industry.
• Proactively originating and advancing proprietary opportunities leveraging your extensive crypto network (founders, funds, brokers, market makers, infra providers, etc.).
• Strategically shaping diverse deal structures (control, minority, JV, venture debt, ABL, revenue share), meticulously drafting and iterating term sheets, and skillfully supporting complex negotiations.
• Seamlessly orchestrating comprehensive diligence processes with legal, finance, and operations teams; meticulously maintaining CRM hygiene, funnel analytics, and key sourcing OKRs.
• Forging impactful strategic partnerships that significantly unlock growth for both the Echo Base platform and its dynamic portfolio companies (covering custody, data, liquidity, distribution, and technology).
• Representing Echo Base with distinction at industry conferences and targeted roadshows; developing compelling outreach narratives and materials that consistently convert prospects into valuable opportunities.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a proven track record in digital asset origination. Key qualifications include:

• Minimum of 6–10+ years of progressive experience in business development, corporate development, or investing roles within the crypto/fintech sectors.
• Possession of a proven, live network of key relationships across leading digital-asset firms and critical infrastructure providers.
• A demonstrable track record of successfully originating and progressing complex transactions from inception to close; profound fluency in sophisticated deal structuring and execution.
• An ‘operator’s bias for action,’ combined with elite relationship-building capabilities and exceptionally crisp written and verbal communication skills.
• A data-driven and analytical approach to pipeline management; mastery of CRM systems and advanced outreach tools.
• A deep and nuanced understanding of the crypto industry’s intricate dynamics, coupled with robust knowledge of traditional finance buy-side strategies.
